Supracon AG (SUPRA) is a worldwide market leader of programmable Josephson Voltage Standards and highly active in the field of geophysical instruments based on SQUIDs. Since its foundation in 2001 as a spin off from today’s Leibniz-Institute of Photonic Technologies supracon developed and refined necessary technologies for manufacturing of superconducting circuits, necessary electronics and systems based on these circuits. It grows steadily with a yearly rate of around 10%. Within the last years the main research focus got into the field of enabling technologies for quantum computers.
Within ARCTIC supracon AG will be responsible for developing jointly with Infineon Technologies AG and TU Braunschweig a low noise microwave generator suitable e.g. for control of Qubits due to its extremely low noise in the signals and its demonstration.
To achieve this goal supracon AG will take care of superconducting chip fabrication technology for Josephson Arbitrary Waveform Synthesizer (JAWS) as one basis of the microwave generator.
Additionally, SUPRA will use one of its own cryocoolers to jointly test the photodiode of Albis at 4K with CSEM’s Laser as low phase noise microwave generator.
