VTT’s main roles in the project are to develop single photon detectors, and analog and digital cryo-electronics including low-noise amplifiers for quantum sensor and qubit readout. VTT also develops active and passive thermal management tools. 

In addition to the technology development roles VTT leads a Workpakackage on emerging devices and components for cryo-systems and coordinates the Finnish sub-consortium.
